Editing Content
Purpose
Desciption of content types, content containers, and fully customizable content blocks.
Content Types
Currently there are 3 different types of content blocks, with the following icons:
- Fully customizable content blocks that you can drag and drop individual elements within
- Image galleries that can be customized to have different image dimensions and column layout
- Managed content blocks (like entries in a table or blog posts) that can have their content edited and controlled but have their display properties controlled by the section
Content Containers
- Some sections have more than one area that can have content blocks, such as two columns
- In those cases, the buttons to add content blocks will appear within the content container
- A light blue border will appear when hovering over a content container, just as with sections and content blocks
Fully Customizable Content Blocks
- The most common type of content block
- Each customizable content block allows an area for rich text as well as a list of files like PDFs and Office documents, unlimited images, and videos.
- A grid layout feature allows you to size and position each element to your liking.
- Content blocks can be combined to create complex layouts that all break down gracefully on smaller screens.
- When editing content blocks of this type, the blue button with a checkmark must be clicked to commit your changes.
- To publish these changes, click Publish Changes.
