Editing Sections and Content

Purpose

How to edit/manage sections and content blocks. 

Edit Mode

In order to make any changes to a page, you must first click Edit Mode by clicking the blue Edit Mode button in the middle of the toolbar.

How to Select Sections and Tools

1. Once in Edit Mode, move the mouse cursor around the screen. This will cause the different sections of your website to light up with a light blue border
2. A group of buttons will appear to show you the various options you have for editing the Section Settings or Adding Content Blocks.
3. The group of buttons will appear in the top left, top right, or bottom center of the section depending on the location of your cursor within the section
4. If a content block is in the way of one set of buttons. Try moving your cursor to a different part of the section so that the button group shows up in a different region.

How to Edit Content Blocks

1. Similar to sections, editable content blocks will also light up with a light blue border when hovered over
2. A different set of buttons, discussed here, will appear and allow you to make changes and perform organizational actions.

How to Manage Content Layout

1. Some section types organize layout content automatically, so the content blocks within them do not behave the same way
2. Instead, when hovering over the section, a button with a list icon will appear to the right of the other section action buttons that will open a table-based feature that you can use to add and edit individual content blocks.

There are 5 different ways to manage your content layout, with the following icons:

• Duplicate Content Block
• Delete Content Block
• Move Content Block Up
• Move Content Block Down
